The big One.One!

Meet Jesse.  Today he is 11.  ELEVEN!! Sigh.  How did this happen?  Everyone tells you when they are fit throwing little toddlers to enjoy that time because it all passes to quickly.  But I didn't listen.  Yes, I am crying.  I cry a lot.  I'm just a cryer.  Specially because I know that time is just ticking away and all too soon this time with my little boy will just be but a memory.  But today no tears... or maybe just a few.  More hugs.  More 'I love you's.  And definitely More 'I am proud of you's. 

For what did Jesse want most for his eleventh birthday? Money!  That wouldn't surprise any mother.  "Mom I just want money".  What came next is what was one of the proudest moments of my time with him yet.  for Jesse went on to explain that what he wanted the most was money to send to World Vision to help them provide clean water to help children have better lives.  Yeah. Tears.  Again.  Proud tears.  Very proud of my little guy who is not so little anymore.  And of his not so little heart that simply loves people.  And still dreams of making this world a better place. 

Jesse, I am so. so. sooooo  very thankful to have the honor of calling you son.  I love you more than words can say bud, and hope you know each and everyday just how special I think.  I KNOW you are!  From the bottom of my heart; I love you!
