Meet Molly. A wonderful addition to Imago Dei Photography. If you have received any mailings from the studio she is the artist behind the cards as well as the mailings. Not only is she relieving me of these important tasks she is also doing all the archival of your files! This is a very important task that if it were left to me would get done once or two a year only because of the way things need to be prioritized. Lucky for me Molly is able to archive sessions as soon as the session premiers are over with! I owe her my sanity! :)
My name is Molly. I am wife to Adam, an absent-minded professor with axel grease under his fingernails. (Yes, he is a contradiction, but talented in many areas!) Together, we have four quirky, beautiful and imaginative children ages eight and under. They keep me busy and blessed!
Tell us, what are your hobbies or interests?
I love learning new skills. We are the true do-it-yourself family and I especially love endangered art forms like letterpress printing, weaving and other manual crafts. I try to be creative everyday whether it be making cards or organizing our home in a new way. I enjoy finding ways to re purpose item to be useful and beautiful.
How would you describe yourself in one sentence?
I am a natural people-pleaser who tries to be a God-pleaser instead.
You have four hours all to yourself what do you do?
I would love to curl up with my crimson red fleece blanket, a single shot mocha breve in a ceramic mug, a good book (I love Karen Kingsbury!) and a view of the ocean. Whether I sleep, read or just enjoy the view, I would return home a happy girl!
Your one guilty pleasure is.....
Staying up late watching NCIS with my hubby when I know I should be in bed--even better if there is ice cream involved.
What have you been up to the last say, three years?
We have spent the last three years or so in Bolivia--yes, in South America. Yes, they speak Spanish there, but have the largest percentage of indigenous people groups and languages in all of Latin America. Yes, it is very hot and humid. My husband taught Biblical Greek and Hebrew at a seminary. I loved the people, tropical beauty and yummy new foods like yuca and maracuya. Me encanta español pero unas veces mi mente no puede recuerda nada de inglés ni español.
Some recent clients have received cards by Flagship Invitations. Please tell us a bit about Flagship Invitations.
Flagship Invitations is a custom order, home-based invitation and card making business I started when my oldest daughter was born. Mainly dormant over the past four years while we lived overseas, I am working at restarting this area of my life. I am excited to be able to incorporate letterpress and embossed designs with quality paper and workmanship. I love paper!
A flagship is the lead ship in a fleet. Its flags announce who is in command and who owns the fleet. In the same manner, an invitation embodies the nature of the event to come and shows off the personalities of those involved.
What drives or motivates you?
I am driven by my desire to serve and please God and my family. I strive to be honest, loving and to do my best in all things.
