Nautical Engagement Shoot on the Oregon Coast {Oregon Coast Wedding Photographer} {Oregon Wedding Photographer} {Photography on the Oregon Coast} {Professional Photographer in Oregon} {Professional Photographer on the Oregon Coast}

April was a big month around here.  Not only did I turn another year older wiser but I also celebrated a big milestone in the business.  A total studio re brand {!!!!}  In order to celebrate the new website {again !!!!} and the whole re brand that took place. I wanted to celebrate big!  So I had a little contest

Engaged couples were invited to share their unique love story and enter to win the perfect date on the Oregon Coast.  The love stories entered were touching and lovely.  One that stood out was a love story submitted by a friend of the couple.  Below is their beautiful love story:
I would love to nominate a very good friend of mine, Katy Britch and her future hubby, Joe Church. These two are examples of the most sincere love that I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. They both attended Oregon State University. They knew each other because they both participated at the OSU Newman Center together. Through their Spiritual Directors, they finally gained the courage to begin their relationship. However, when they started dating, Joe had already graduated from OSU and moved out to Portland, Oregon for his work. Joe proposed to Katy after a day long date.  They finished their date at the campus chapel.  He played his guitar, they sang together and prayed. He knelt before her reading a verse from Genesis, and then asked her to marry him. They are planning a beautiful chapel wedding this winter.
Katy and Joe began their exclusive date at Shear Bliss Salon were Katy was styled and pampered.
Don't you just love her hair styling?!!
After the pampering session we headed to Garibaldi Marina, where they not only enjoyed many outfit changes and fun time non-pose photographing but also a little seaside picnic.
The wine and choice cheese as well as the bread came straight from Blue Heron French Cheese Company.
Joe and Katy were so easy to photograph.  Josh (yes, my love got to come and help me shoot this session!!) and I had a great time hanging out with them and getting to know them.  It was such a joy photographing such a deserving couple and spoiling them silly.
Before wrapping it up and letting them head to Pacific City and enjoy dinner at the amazingly good Pelican Pub, Josh arranged for some shots in a working boat. Instant goodness!!
Here are some more of my favorites of the day.
Joe and Katy, you sure made it hard to only pick a few to highlight.  Just wait till you see your full gallery!!!
