Tillamook Forestry Center Wedding

At our first consult they both said their wedding would be low key.  Nothing "fancy" were her words.  She lied.  :)  When I arrived at the Tillamook Forest Center the day of their wedding I was surprised by the beauty all around.  The flowers, the setting, the set up... I'm getting ahead of myself.

Erick and Jessica picked the forestry center because of it's beauty.  They love the outdoors.  Hunting, camping, hiking.  It was only after they booked the venue that they realized this place actually was perfect as Erick's family have long worked in the forestry department and he too has made this his career.  I can't begin to tell you how beautiful their day was.  A wedding on a 250 foot long suspension bridge.... amazing and unique for sure!!
Among the evergreen and above the roaring Wilson River, Erick and Jessica committed their lives to one another.  They vowed to honor and cherish surrounded by their family and closest friends--and fish.  ;-)

In fact a close childhood friend officiated, a friend of the family made all the flower arrangements, and the food. Oh my. the delicious food was also handled by church friends.  It was a sweet union full of thoughtful people all gathered to celebrate two "kids" lucky blessed in love.
Jessica's mother coordinated the event and helped get her ready to see her groom.

Erick and Jessica chose to see each other before the ceremony so that they could enjoy their guests- many of whom had come from afar to be with them on this special day.  They didn't want to have to sneak away during the reception and be poor hosts all to get portraits.  A First Look was a perfect choice!  Erick waited at a location which they had chosen ahead of time. I led Jessica quietly along the foxglove-lined walk which follows the north bank of the mighty Wilson river.  She approached him and...... Magic unfolds.
This image clearly states the magic of First Looks!!!

After the First Look we took some time to capture some unique images taking full advantage of all that the Tillamook Forest Center has to offer.  Including the vintage fire lookout tower and interactive exhibit area.

The ceremony was breath taking!

A receiving line followed which allowed the set up for a sit down dinner.  It was a perfect touch of simple elegance as one guest put it.

Erick and Jessica, thank you so much for including me in your day.  It has an honor to document your love and I look forward to getting to know you both more my dear neighbors!! ~Xiomara
