Family Portraits // Pacific City Family Beach Session

Sand beneath their feet, the ocean breeze ran through her hair.  They held hands and vowed to cherish one another and create a home centered on love.  And thanks.  A few years later they return to the beach.  With Jacoby- their biggest love and blessing in tow.

This sweet family session began on a January afternoon on the Oregon Coast.  You never know what you're going to get in Oregon, weather wise.  But throw in the ocean air and you have the possibility of a photo session nightmare!

We were so blessed that was not the case for Bryan and Shelby's Family Beach Session.  Just like it was during their wedding these two must have a gift at picking perfect beach days!

We arrived in Pacific City and the only problem was that the sun was a bit too bright!  But hey, in Oregon we can't complain when the sun shines.  Instead we dance, play, and kiss under it's warmth and that is exactly what Bryan, Shelby and Jacoby chose to do.

Walking the beach (or let's be honest chasing Jacoby through the sand dunes) was a blast!  These two parents are the most relaxed and loving two you will meet. They simply let Jacoby be instead of expecting him to perform for the camera.  What a gift that was to Jacoby to just enjoy his day in the sand! They fully trusted that even if Jacoby didn't want to do anything we asked the images would be awesome still.  I am happy to report they are. They are real. Honest and yet still breath taking!

Shelby, thank you so much for our talk the other day.  Allowing me to get to know the heartbeat of your family a bit and try to communicate that to the world.  Bryan, thank you for being a sport and really getting into the session- having fun and just letting loose among the beach grass.  I had so much fun with your family and my dearest desire is that I was able to capture heirlooms for you to treasure for a lifetime.  With much love ~Xiomara
