Personal // A day in the saddle

I love this saying. And I aim to live it.  This week I decided to take the time off to be with my kiddos during spring break..... yeah, I do love being self employed and being blessed to be able to do this not only for myself but for my kiddos!
During this time off Naomi has had Horsemanship camp for the first part of the week.  I realized some days prior to camp that I have yet to get an image of her riding. Not one.  Something that is really important to her- I hadn't shown her was important to me.  I mean let's be real, if a memory is important to me I make time to get out the DSLR rather than just using the iPhone.  So naturally I felt badly.  I want my actions to speak for how it is that I feel and I want Naomi to know her passion is just as important to me.
I asked her instructor if I could come in and photograph at the ranch.  Thanks to her I was able to work on this personal project.  I want Naomi to have wonderful memories.  But I also want her to have tangible images to refresh the mind of all the sweet moments she is blessed to have in her childhood.
I assigned myself "a day in the saddle".  And I must admit I LOVED getting to see Naomi shine in what seems to be something that comes natural to her.  Loving horses.
Loving horses among the dirt, the ropes, the hay-- she seems to come alive.  Sure, she concentrates and won't pay attention to anything else that is going on except her task at hand but a mom knows 'the look' of her child.  When they are struggling and when they are satisfied.  Anytime she is at Two Hats Ranch her look is..... contentment.
Thanks so much to Zoe at Two Hats Ranch for loving and guiding with much patience for my little rider and all the other Two Hats Ranch riders.
I'm sure I speak for all the parents in saying it is so wonderful to have a place where you fully trust your child is safe, cared for and loved.  Thanks so much Martens!
This look says it all.... we appreciate you!
